"Why Don't I Start Something?"
I have not put something here in lately and so they ask me, "Why Don't You Start Something?" Not that I haven't tried. But I have a good questions... why doesn't Mr. Pizzarelli start something? Or Jessica? One teeny-weeny comment by Jessica ("Jessica Joins the Fray," or something like that just doesn't do it. And for why, what fray?).
Too bad, so many beautiful people comes here to pay tribute to John Pizzarelli, but it's like he does not hear, does not respond, does not... care. You want to know why there is no big Facebook about Pizzarelli? Because he does not respond there too.
Too bad. This thing is fading away, drying up, soon to be swept away as if it never was. I don't feel sorry for John, but for Jessica, yes. She could do so well on her own and she does. John seems to me, call me is crazies, to think he is better than everybody. We always get these notes, John in concert, the big deals, but they are always in New York, maybe he can walk there from his house.
What about us guys here in California and places in between. Sure you are here once in a great time, but you never tell us. We find out later. You never make a big deal out of it. Kinda like a snob.
That's too bad, for I could cry about it. All these peoples bowing down to you and for what? For you to walk on them, to ignore them? You know what? You're not so hot... not anymore in my memory. In fact I am a better person than you because I would never ignore those who love me like you do. I can't sing too good or play guitar too good, but on the final day, nobody is going to ask me to sing. But someone might ask how kind I was to others.
I don’t worry about Jessica, she is brilliant.
So if you don't come to this site soon to talk to us, the it's goodbye for me. And though there are many on this site now, so many have already have said adios to you, though they haven't not quit.
Give it some good thought, but for me, I don't think you never show up here, and no more do I care. See what you do? Bring out the bad part of me, but it's you doing the bringing.
You're not the only singer and musician in the world, though you may think you are.

I can understand your "complaint" but have you seen John's travel schedule?
I personally know that he DOES care and respond. Some time back my daughter e-mailed John about my having missed his fall gig in Orange County because of a death in the family and how I was going to drive from So. California to Denver in May to see his Sinatra show as a birthday present to myself.
John not only replied to my daughter, he recognized my birthday at the show in Denver!
Some folks are so "connected" via dingleberry telephones, personal data assistants, twitter, facebook and various electronic implants that they never miss a message and are always 'in touch'. Others have lives to live and demanding schedules to meet. Yes, it would be nice if John or Jessica would jump in once in a while, but in the meantime I'll continue to enjoy the radio show, CD's and concerts.

Hi Ken,
I'm only trying to liven things up around here. I took a look at your page and I have to confess that I'm not music literate enough to hold a candle to the depth and love of your interest. It is the music I hear for so many years, and I can only say it's music that makes me happy when I hear it, the Tin Pan Alley and after. But I don't know so much about it like you.
The picture? Let's just say that I am computer literate enough to put up half a picture, so when that's all that came up, I thought I like this. But I can do it now, put up the whole picture, but I like it like this. But if I had your picture I could put it up for you in two minutes; be happy to do it.
I think I make people mad at me from the stuff I get, and it makes me feel sad. I think it is because I don't know how to say things too right, and so you got me there, too. So please don't be unhappy with me. I'm here for like everyone else, to appreciate the music lovers here and to express my love for it and the success of this website. But sometimes I get it wrong what I'm saying. So you can see I don't have too many friends.
I hope you will stay happy with just half a picture.
