- My husband Tom and I found Radio Deluxe on Portland's KMHD, the best jazz station around. My brother in law, Joe in upstate New York had told us about John Pizzarelli and encouraged us to attend his concert in Portland. We couldn't, but would not in a heartbeat miss it now. The show to us is a combination of the old 50's show Don McNeil's breakfast club and Sunday night's "Swing n' Sway" with Sammy Kaye, which I listened to in rural Oregon, plus "Make Believe Ballroom" which my east coast husband listened to out of NYC. That puts us in our 60's with the love of the 40's through the 60's music and so happy such a class act is now on radio.
