I'm a retired lawyer and ex-newspaper reporter in Baltimore. I play rhythm guitar in four community big bands in the Baltimore metro area. My mother was a Broadway chorus dancer and my dad an adman who got his start in the CBS publicity department, where one of his jobs was shilling for Ruth Etting. My son Graham is a jazz pianist/composer/bandleader in San Francisco. Every June my sweetheart and I attend the Jersey JazzFest, where we always hear Bucky. We were at the Carlyle for John and Jessica's closing show there '07 Memorial Day weekend.

Denis, both my sons are musicians. My younger son plays guitar and blues harmonica, writes and performs his own songs, and makes guitars and other string instruments that are not like any you have ever seen before. Check out his website, www.folkherosandwich.com, and click on instrument photos.

My son have always the music feeling in him. He sing rightly and he wanna start to play guitar. I've another son (18 years old) and he play guitar like Jimmy Hendrix (it's not a joke, it's true). I think that he gonna begin to play jazz in the futur (he practice with my 7 strings guitar whne I'm not at home,..... ).
My luthier is Mark-Andrew Tremblay (in french it's Marc-André). You can see this luthier on my acoustic guitar photos. My archtop guitar sound like a Benedetto Manathan 7 strings (like the old John Pizzarelli guitar). And my acoustic 7 srtings guitar have a rich sound like a Guild JF-100. I've a custom fretless bass too made by the same luthier. It's a archtop body. The sound is exactly like a up-right bass. I'll send some pics my photo section, maybe today.

I just heard those guys for the first time about two months ago, my violinist turned me onto them. And from what I gather he uses all vintage equipment... old gibson EH-150's and such. Damned but I can't dial in that kind of tone!!! But I am working on it!!!!!!!!
All the Best, R-
