About Me:: I'm a 45 years old man. I'm living in Quebec, Canada. I love Jazz (of course) and I play it with my Jazz Band (The Denis Landry Jazz Ensemble, a 5 musicians band). I play 7 strings guitar, bass guitar, drum, sitar, tabla, and I sing too.

My jazz influence are: John and Bucky Pizzarelli, Ellington, Colthrane, Burrel, Armstrong, Nat King Cole, Sinatra, and more.

I've a Beatles band too and I play bass in this band with my 2 Hofner bass (a Cavern Club '61, very rare; and my '63) and we're presently preparing a show for the end of May. We gonna play the "Abbey Road" album.

I'm father of 2 guys (18 and 12 years) and married with a marvelous woman (who's the singer of my jazz band). I'm a city bus driver, but the real me is in the fact that I'm an artist.

My younger son plays guitar and blues harmonica, writes and performs his own songs, and makes guitars and other string instruments that are not like any you have ever seen. At 8:32am on April 2nd, 2008, Doug Connah said…: That guitar was custom-built for me by Gary Zimnicki, of Allen Park, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. Gary's website is www.zimnicki.com, and he makes beautiful instruments. I put down a deposit in May of 2003, and it was delivered in June of '05. (Of course I had to sell two guitars to help pay for it, but it's been worth it.)

I could have had it for a mere $135K, but I would have had to borrow $134K of it. I do have a few nice guitars including a Martin CF-1 Archtop, a Taylor T5 Custom, and a 1946 Epi Broadway that used to belong to Bucky Pizzarelli. Nice to meet you.
